  • Senior Citizen community is hosting a flamingo fundraiser.
  • Flamingos are “flocking” private residences and businesses.
  • They have raised nearly $1,000.

The fundraiser is you can pay to have plastic flamingos “flock” to yards or businesses.

Alzheimer’s patients have decorated the plastic flamingos.

The community has been a tremendous support system for this cause.

In the first week alone, the senior citizen community has raised nearly $1,000 for Alzheimer’s.

Nichole Wood, Morningside of Wilmington Executive Director says, “By us bringing attention to the Alzheimer's association and what great work they do, we are able to see just how many lives it actually affects.”

The money raised from this fundraiser will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

If you would like to adopt a “flock” you have until August to join the fundraiser.
