It works by having college students advocate for the COVID-19 vaccination, including one at North Carolina A&T State University.

The American College Health Association is leading the initiative with the help of student ambassadors who use social media to educate and advocate. That includes Nadiya McLean.

“We talk about just how the new norm is, how we're vaccine forward instead of getting back where we used to be. We're learning to adjust where we are now," McLean said.

Since the start of the campus' COVID-19 vaccine initiative, over 11,000 N.C. A&T students and employees have been vaccinated.
