FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Images of Fort Bragg's live-fire exercise look like something from out of a sci-fi movie. But, it's just paratroopers doing an exercise and gearing up to deploy when needed.

"Paratroopers from 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division own the night during their Combined Arms Live-Fire Exercise," the division posted.

The Army's 82nd Airborne Division shared the images on Facebook Friday morning, generating reaction.

One person commented, "Looks like Thor coming through the bifrost."

"What is that?" asked another.

The training involved paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division and the 3rd Brigade Combat Team.

"Our Paratroopers remain ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the U.S. with no notice, anywhere in the world in 18 hours or less," the division wrote.
