RALEIGH, N.C. — A new era in football will begin for the St. Augustine's Falcons when they take the field this weekend.

David Bowser is making his debut as the new head coach. However, he won't just be leading the Falcons as their head man on the gridiron, but he has officially taken over the entire athletic department.

The top brass at St. Augustine's tapped Bowser to be their interim athletic director on July 1, but the interim tag was removed just last week.

After spending 20 years as an assistant at Fayetteville State, he is now getting the opportunity to run his own program from top to bottom.

Bowser is a 1992 graduate of N.C. State, and he began his college coaching career at Hampden-Sydney College in 1999.

Fast forward more than 20 years later and he has earned the hefty responsibility of head coach/athletic director. He is more than ready for the journey ahead.
