  • Victims scrambling for tarps
  • Officials ask residents to look for extra tarps in garages
  • Tarps can be donated to the two disaster resource centers on Everitt Street and Sykes Avenue

It sent people scrambling across the city trying to find tarps to prevent any more damage to their homes.

"Neighbors are concerned. People that have been impacted are concerned about their belongings and to protect them we need to get those tarps put on," said disaster center volunteer Crystal Black. "We've had a lot of donations, Lowe's has donated. We've had individual people in the community to bring tarps. We've had people come today to bring tarps but it's just not enough."

If you have any tarps, you can donate them to the two disaster resource centers on Everitt Street and Sykes Avenue.
