GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A cold front is approaching from the northwest, and that front will interact with a hot and humid airmass across the Carolinas. The result will be a good number of scattered showers and storms, especially from mid-afternoon into early evening.

  • Scatterd storm possibility for Tuesday.
  • Some storms could become severe.
  • Humidity will be lower tomorrow and Thursday.

A couple of storms could be strong to severe, and as is almost always the case this time of year, any storm could produce lots of lightning and locally heavy rain. Highs should be in the lower 90s in most spots.

That cold front will clear to the south tonight, and the stage will be set for some nice weather over the following couple of days. Humidity values will be slightly lower tomorrow and Thursday, and rain chances will essentially be zero with highs in the 80s.

Our next storm system will slowly approach this weekend, bringing scattered showers and storms along with it.

Be sure and check out today's video for much more.
