GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Clear skies and enjoyable summer temperatures are set for tonight and Thursday, meaning seasonably low humidity levels.

  • That's all the result of a reasonably strong region of high pressure
  • Friday will have increasing clouds, humidity, and eventually areas of rain late in the day
  • Instead of just a few storms every few days, daily rain chances will take hold

That's all the result of a reasonably strong region of high pressure that is centered to our north.

The high will begin to break down on Friday leading to increasing clouds, humidity, and eventually areas of rain late in the day.

An unsettled pattern is expected to settle in over the weekend and then continue into next week.  That means instead of just a few storms every few days, daily rain chances will take hold.

The hope is by the latter part of next week, we'll have put a nice dent in the recent dryness across Central NC.
