WAKE COUNTY, N.C. -- Tourism is at an all-time high in Wake County.

According to Visit Raleigh, more than 16 million people visited the county last year, spending over $2.5 million.

Visit Raleigh says 60 percent of visitors choose to return, some even eventually making the move here or relocating their business.

Those who travel here tell us, it's the warm weather, downtown restaurants and charm that keep bringing them back.

"It's the typical southern hospitality that's super enjoyable," said Doug Hatch, who's visiting from California. "I even like the humidity. I'm from out west, so we don't get a lot of that."
