Members of the state Assembly held a public hearing to examine the Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Program. Governor Cuomo's policy to direct 30 percent of public contracts to MWBE's has come under fire recently. One group sued the Cuomo administration for records that show whether or not studies are actually being conducted on the program. Our next guest was not part of the suit but commissioned a study showing that the state cannot meet the MWBE goals they have declared.
