FEMA denied the disaster declaration for parts of the Mohawk Valley damaged by severe flooding in July. But local officials are hoping for the agency will reconsider- and inviting the administrator to make a personal visit for more information. The denial was because FEMA did not consider the damage beyond what the state and local governments could handle.
