SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A 14-year-old faces charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle and fighting with Syracuse police.

Officers say the teen refused to pull over after police were following up on a stolen vehicle report Sunday afternoon.

The teen eventually came to a stop on West Calthrop Avenue and tried to run away.

Police say he fought with them before being arrested.

The teen is charged with resisting arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

He was released to his parents on a Juvenile Appearance Ticket.
