After Saturday’s warm weather cooler, temperatures return for Sunday. A dry cold front uneventfully crossed the region bringing only a few clouds and some cooler air.

Behind the front relatively cloudless skies will reign across the Tar Heel State, but in spite of the sunshine temperatures will be running three to six degrees below normal. A chilly start to the work week then a gradual warm up by mid-week.

The only chance of rain in the foreseeable future would be late Thursday night into early Friday as another cold front moves through the region. As of now this front also looks to be moisture starved and may only produce a few brief showers at best.
