Windsor's wrestling program hosts the longest running wrestling tournament in the state of New York. For 61 years, Windsor has welcomed some of the best teams in the state into its gymnasium.

What helps make the event so successful is the community support and local sponsors. The two-day tournament is the only fundraiser that the Black Knights have each season.

"If we don't do this tournament well, then we're not going to be able to do the things we do," said Windsor Head Coach Jeff Nolan. "Kids aren't going to have the opportunity to go wrestle in Fargo, N.D., unless they're going to come up with the funds themselves. And for a lot of kids, that would be a lot of money."

The tournament has 27 teams and more than 300 athletes. The championship matches will take place Friday at 4 p.m.
