The two men accused of killing four people in Troy have been arraigned in court.

Justin Mann and James White were indicted, then arraigned, on nine counts of first-degree murder, four counts of second-degree murder, burglary, robbery, and two counts of criminal possession of a stolen property. Both, through their attorneys, have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The 17 counts show three different theories the DA is pursuing -- the first being that the pair went to the house with the intent of killing Brandi Mells; the second being that all four victims were killed during the course of a robbery; the third being that the victims were killed during a burglary. Mann and White are also being charged with allegedly having a stolen flat-screen TV and an Xbox from the victims' home.

"We’re very happy that the grand jury came back the way they did. There is nothing good about this case," said District Attorney Joel Abelove.

Mann and White were arrested last weekend in connection with the deaths of 36-year-old Shanta Myers, 11-year-old Jermiah "JJ" Myers, 5-year-old Shanise Myers and Shanta's partner 22-year-old Brandi Mells. The four were found dead inside their home in Troy last month.

No future court appearences are on the calendar. The two men are facing life in prison without the possibilty of parole if convicted.
