A Long Island family with ties to the Binghamton area is looking to make it easier for minority students to attend Seton Catholic Central.

James Corgel, a Seton alum, and his wife Christine announced a $200,000 scholarship in their name for two students to attend the school.

The endowment will provide each student with a $5,000 scholarship for each year they're enrolled.

The family hopes to award the scholarship to Latino or African-American candidates from unrepresented households.

To apply for the scholarship, students must show they'll support others, be competitive and always set goals.
