TROY, N.Y. -- The perfect season is complete for the Susquehanna Valley girls basketball team.

The Sabers, paced by tournament MVP Trinasia Kennedy's game-high 20 points, held off Irvington 55-52 for the NYSPHSAA Class B state championship Saturday night at Hudson Valley Community College.

Hannah Haskel and Holly Manchester each scored 11 points for Susquehanna Valley, which shook off a slow start to take a slight halftime lead -- and that lead, while challenged a couple of times in the second half, held.

Maeve Donnelly added eight points for the Sabers.
