A Seneca Falls man was so disruptive during his arraignment it had to be stopped and he was returned to jail.

David Fenton, 30, was first arrested on accusations he left threatening messages on the phone of someone with whom he was in a relationship. He was charged with felony aggravated family offense and harassment.

During his arraignment, Fenton was belligerent to the point where the judge stopped the proceedings and put Fenton back in jail. He was also fined for his actions.

Fenton paid his bail and was released, but since the arraignment was not completed, the judge issued an arrest warrant.

When officers went to arrest Fenton at his home, he reportedly hid in his bathroom until officers dragged him out.

Fenton is back in Seneca County jail, now on $2,500 bail and facing an additional charge of resisting arrest. He’s scheduled to be back in court Wednesday.
