Authorities have arrested and charged a man in connection with the death of a 2-year-old at a residence in the village of McGraw.

Dorian Bohn has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to court documents, Bohn failed to get proper help after the toddler suffered head trauma.

In a deposition, Bohn says he didn't call 911 immediately after hearing a "thud." He ran into the child's room, got her and laid her on a couch. Then he called 911 after her breathing got shallower.

If convicted, criminally negligent homicide carries up to 4 years in prison.
