A Johnsonville man is dead after being hit by a taxi in Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga police say 19-year-old David Bridegroom was hit around midnight on State Route 9 near the Design Motel.

Bridegroom suffered serious injuries to his head and body, and later died at Saratoga Hospital.

Police say the taxi driver, Joseph Maheux, is cooperating with police, and is not currently facing charges.

Details of the accident are still under investigation.
