Some cyclists are going the extra mile for cancer research.

More than 225 cyclists completed their journey of 558 miles across New York for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center on Saturday.

Over the past week, riders have made their way through the Hudson Valley, Albany, Utica and Syracuse, before ending in Niagara Falls.

This year marked a milestone for the Empire State Ride, raising more than $1.6 million.

Since its first event in 2014, the Empire State Ride has raised over $4.5 million for research in immunotherapy and personalized medicine.
