BUFFALO, N.Y. — A local gun rights group is letting Rep. Chris Collins know exactly how they feel about him, and they did it by taking up ad space right off of the I-190 South in Buffalo.

The billboard praises Collins for his work on the Second Amendment Guarantee Act or "SAGA."

It was put up by the Erie County Chapter of the "Shooters Committee on Political Education" or SCOPE, a pro-second amendment group.

Collins says he has seen the ad and says he's grateful for the support.

He adds SAGA is still gaining support.

"A lot of things have been languishing in Congress and we just wanted to thank him and encourage him to continue to carry on the push to get it through the routine, through the process in Congress,” said the Chairman of the Erie County Chapter of S.C.O.P.E, Carl Leas.

If passed, the bill would essentially nullify most of the SAFE Act on a federal level. It is currently sitting in a U.S. House subcommittee.
