The University at Buffalo hosted BlueCross BlueShield's fourth annual Family Day, getting hundreds of families to stay active.

UB's Alumni Arena was turned into a massive playground Sunday. Families could visit eight event stations to learn about wellness.

There was soccer, volleyball, hula-hooping and a bounce house.

"BlueCross BlueShield knows how important it is to bring these activities to our community. Especially during these winter months because it can be so difficult to get outside and get active,” said Falon McKernan, a community resource specialist with BlueCross BlueShield. “It's great to be to come inside, enjoy some sports activities and run around to get the energy out."

Family Fun is part of Fearless February, which is a series of events held to inspire families to get active and stay healthy.

Another Family Day is scheduled for Niagara Falls next Saturday.
