ROYALTON, N.Y. — Niagara County Sheriff's Deputies are continuing to investigate a crash that killed a 31-year-old mother and a 2-year-old child.

They say Danielle Dujenski of Machias was fatally injured in a crash in Royalton Wednesday night.

It happened at Lewiston Road and Griswold Street just before 8 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies say a vehicle on Griswold Street went through a stop sign and hit the vehicle Dujenski was riding in. Garret Dujenski, 30, and five children ranging in age from 1-year-old to 11-years-old were also in the car.

The 2-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital but died shortly after. Danielle Dujenski died Thursday morning, according to police.

Four of the children in the vehicle were transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital. Garret Dujenski and one of the children are listed in stable condition. The three other children are all in critical condition.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 65-year-old man from Royalton, was treated and discharged from the hospital. His name has not been released.
