BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County libraries have received a donation that will expand their cultural collection.

The Chinese Club of Western New York has donated over 100 Chinese language books to the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library Systems.

The club began raising money to purchase books for donation back in May during Asian American Heritage Month.

Members of the group gathered at the Clarence Public Library Saturday for a bilingual reading of the children's book “A Big Mooncake for Little Star” by Grace Lin.

Kids in attendance made traditional paper lanterns, which is a common activity that celebrates Mid-Autumn festival.

The books are available to the public, as long as you have a library card.
