Dozens of people protesting the Biden administration's support for Israel descended on downtown Syracuse Thursday morning across the street from the site of the president's afternoon visit to the city.

Organizers from the Democratic Socialists of America and other local pro-Palestinian groups called for protests to form, saying in a press release earlier in the week that they "object to tax dollars being used repeatedly to fund Israel's bombardment of Gaza while local communities face poverty and insecurity."
