They’re shuffling off to Jacksonville in droves, fingers crossed not just for a win but for easy transport without delays.

Dozens of Bills fans packed the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Friday, eager to make their way south for the team’s first playoff game since the 1999 season.

A trio of friends began plotting their trip shortly after it was determined the team was in the post-season.

“Allowed ourselves maybe 30 seconds to enjoy it and then we popped open the laptop,” said Donald Hymers, waiting for his flight with two friends. “We knew we had to book, we knew it was going to get crazy.”

It’s a trip that was a long time coming but well worth the wait for many families.

“We’ve had season tickets since 1988,” said Nicholas Fedorka. “My dad, who passed away in 2008, was cremated in a Bills jersey and we had a game on during the calling hours. We’re die-hard fanatics.”

Even the massive storm attacking the East Coast wasn’t going to stop these fans.

“We’ll walk,” said Jackson Digiacomo. “We’re not gonna miss it. We’re not gonna miss it. We’re gonna find a way.”

Kickoff for the Bills and Jaguars is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
