State police say a Columbia County man has been accused of predatory sexual assault against a child after an eight-month investigation.
Keith Benson, 47 of New Lebanon, was taken into custody after troopers say they discovered three separate incidents where Benson had inappropriate sexual contact with a child under 13.
He was arraigned on charges of predatory sexual assault against a child, as well as criminal sex act, three counts of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Benson is being held without bail and is due back in court next Thursday.
