The city's new hit-and-run alert system is set to go live tomorrow.

It will work like the Amber Alert system.

Information about the make, model, color and license plate of the car in question will be sent to New Yorkers' cell phones within 24 hours of a hit-and-run.

The law is named in honor of DJ Jinx Paul.

The "La Mega" radio personality died in a hit-and-run in Brooklyn in 2016.

The suspected driver was only just arrested in November.
