Just in time for warmer weather, a new dockless bike-sharing program will soon roll into Ithaca.

Bike Walk Tompkins is set to unveil a new program allowing residents to use bikes for a dollar per 30 minutes. Starting in April, hundreds of bicycles will be available. Riders will be able to use an app to find the closest bike available.

"I think it's a very good fit for this city. We have a very flat area where there's a lot of commercial districts and a lot of neighborhoods. So even though we have a lot of hills, that's one of the challenges, we do have so many places that you can get to by bike and it's faster because you don't have to park your car." said Victoria Armstrong, the program director.

Bike Walk Tompkins is set to unveil a prototype Thursday. They’ll unveil it at their 5th Annual Streets Alive! Film Festival at Cinemapolis on March 22.
