It's been a little more than two months since a beloved Broome County boy passed away.

Four year-old Cooper Busch, best known as Super Cooper, lost his long battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Now, a nonprofit has been established in his honor. The foundation is giving back to the community, by hosting its first event this Friday.

The goal is to build a playground at the Chenango Bridge Park, where Cooper used to play. "Right now there's just a swingset here for the younger kids to play on. And I know it will bring lots of smiles to the community to have a nice playground here for their kids to play on," said Tara Busch.

The fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, with a movie, food and games. It will be at Chenango Bridge Park starting at 6 p.m.
