It's the start of sweet corn season in Central New York, and grocery stores are getting their first cases of the summertime favorite.

Reeves Farms in Baldwinsville made a delivery to Price Chopper in Fulton Monday. They started picking Thursday, which is right on time.

"Even though we had a really cool spring, we've had a ton of hot weather here in June and July, and everything's caught up and it's looking really good," said Karin Reeves.

The picking season is about two months.
