The goal of the upcoming Jazz in the City urban outreach concert series: Connect the community through music.

There will be a concert each Thursday in August at a different location in the city. This year features two new locations.

Those include the Bleu Chick on North Salina Street and Attilio's at Regency Tower.

The event also aims to connect neighborhoods with vital resources.

"There are residents who don't have access to the same services as people who are more mobile and more economically viable,” said CNY Jazz Central Executive Director Larry Luttinger. “So we make sure this concert series travels with the Molina Healthcare Village. And we make sure everyone who attends these concerts gets a goodie-bag full on contact information for all these fine services."

All concerts are free and open to the public. The first one is scheduled for August 2nd at 6:00 p.m at Dunk & Bright on South Salina Street.
