Governor Andrew Cuomo is threatening to revoke National Grid's license here in New York.

National Grid says a new pipeline needs to be built to bring natural gas to metropolitan households and businesses. However, Governor Cuomo says the company's concerns are exaggerated and he's threatening to attempt to remove them from the state as a result.

"There is a legitimate long-term supply issue, but I also think they want this pipeline approved that goes from Pennsylvania to Long Island, which would bring them gas for 15 years, which would then secure their business franchise for 15 years, it's a controversial pipeline and it's highly speculative," said Cuomo.

Cuomo and state regulators have given National Grid two weeks to resolve the issues.
