Thanksgiving isn't just about the food, it's also about giving to those who need a hand.

Charter Communications donated $2,500 to the Food Bank of Central New York earlier this weekend.

The money went towards their Fresh Foods program that delivers produce, along with dairy and bread, to local residents.

"We all need to be working toghether and were so lucky to have so many great organizations and companies in the community that have banded together to help those in need," said Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh.

A turkey-to-go joined the list, too, just in time for families to cook up this Thursday.

Charter Communications is the parent company of Spectrum News 1.
