The Seneca County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly crash in the town of Junius.

Deputies responded to the crash scene around 2 p.m. Thursday on Route 318 near Stone Church Road.

According to investigators, a car driven by Marianne White, 70, of Auburn, was traveling westbound when she was sideswiped by an eastbound vehicle driven by Kimberly Tompkins, 59, of Phelps. White's car then swerved into the eastbound lane and collided with a third vehicle driven by Angelo Mascioli, 45, of Newark.

White and her passenger, Paul Crapo, 72, of Auburn, were taken to the hospital by ambulance where police say White later died from chest injuries. Crapo was treated for chest injuries but is expected to recover. Mascioli was airlifted to a hospital in Syracuse where he is being treated for hip and leg injuries.

Tompkins was not hurt. She was ticketed for failure to keep right and having an unregistered vehicle. She will appear in Junius Town Court at a later date.
