Police have changed their mind about sharing surveillance video of the Galleria at Crystal Run suspect and person of interest, in the hopes it will help their investigation.

In the video, you can see the man, described as approximately 6-foot-2 with dark hair and facial hair, coming into the mall and walking around. The woman who was with him, labeled a person of interest in the case, is described as about 5-foot-4 and blonde. Police have said the two were with a pair of children, one about three years old, the other an infant.

Town of Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman says investigators have combed through dozens of hours of surveillance, but have chosen not to show the public when the weapon was discharged. Investigators say they’re sharing surveillance because they feel confident they have the right people.

"There was a lot of activity in the mall; there was a lot of confusion immediately following the shooting," Hertman said, "and we wanted to make sure we painted a clear picture of what happened at the mall rather than put out information that we suspected to be incorrect or paint a picture that could be inaccurate."

Police stress that if you have any information that could help, like pictures or videos taken in the mall on Sunday, to send it to them.
