PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — A Port Jervis firefighter has been sent to the hospital for what the deputy chief says are non-life threatening injuries.

Firefighters got a call at 3:15 p.m. over initial reports of a house fire on West Main Street with someone trapped inside. While there was nobody inside the home, the fire did smoke and flame up fast.

Five other fire departments also responded to the call, and Port Jervis EMS.

The fire is under investigation, officials have not determined a cause yet.
