A $150 billion plan aims to fix New York's aging infrastructure and create thousands of jobs.

Gov. Cuomo's proposal includes, but is not limited to:

  • $66 billion for transportation upgrades
  • $32 billion for green energy and parks projects
  • $19 billion to improving school districts statewide.

Cuomo says the five year plan would also create 675,000 jobs for New Yorkers.

"We've seen the progress that we've made on the project we do have going on. Those new airports are going to be a new front door, the newest airports in the United States of America," Cuomo said. "You're going to see growth. You're going to see development, you're going to see an energy New York once had and you're going to see it again. "

If approved the infrastructure projects would begin in 2020.
