The Assembly passage of a bill to expand the definition of public work has business groups worried.

That's because if a project is considered public work, it has to pay what's known as a prevailing wage.

Now, the Business Council is concerned over the potentially negative impact to private sector projects receiving state or local economic development assistance.

Ken Pokalsky, vice president of the council, offers a counter argument.
