ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three people face charges after a carjacking on Rochester's west side overnight.

Police say a taxi driver was called to Belknap Street, where the suspects held him up with a gun and stole his cab just after midnight.

A short time later officers spotted the taxi and tried to pull it over.

Police say the suspects crashed the car on Whitney and Campbell Streets and ran off.

All of them were arrested.

They're charged with assault, robbery and grand larceny.

Police say an officer has a minor hand injury that happened during the chase.
