ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Prosecutors secured guilty pleas from the two Rochester men charged in connection with the shooting death of another man last fall

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says 24-year-old Paul Horn pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to second degree murder. As a result, he'll serve 20-years to life in state prison.

His co-defendant, 20-year-old Tysean Rumph, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon last month. He'll serve 25 years.

Prosecutors say Horn and Rumph were attempting to rob 65-year old Thomas Hardaway on Bernard Street last September when the victim interfered.

The assistant district attorney who prosecuted the case says that's when Horn shot Hardaway twice in the upper body. He died from his injuries.
