ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 17-year-old student has been charged in a sexual allegation incident at a city school.

Rochester police say they took a report at the Leadership Academy for Young Men on Monday.

They say the victim is 14 years old.

The student is facing charges for endangering the welfare of a child and coercion.

Leadership Academy principal Wakili Moore issued a robo-call message to families. He said in part:

"A alleged incident occurred in the school locker room, resulting in Rochester police bringing charges against one of the students. The Rochester City School District is also taking appropriate disciplinary action. While we have no reason to believe any other students are involved in this matter, we encourage you to speak with your children and contact us if you have any concerns."
