CLYDE, N.Y. — The Mayor of the Village of Clyde is running for state office.

Jerry Fremouw is seeking the endorsement of Wayne County's Republican, Conservative and Independence parties to run for the 130th state assembly seat.

Fremouw lists his ten years as mayor and his recent appointment to the executive committee of the New York Conference of Mayors as credentials for his run.

Assemblyman Bob Oaks is not seeking re-election to the seat after 26-years in office.

The 130th Assembly district spans Wayne County and nearly a dozen towns in Cayuga and Oswego counties.
