ATTICA, N.Y. -- Clean up will take days after a train derailment in the Wyoming County Town of Attica.

A freight train transporting new cars as well as fuel derailed Thursday. Two engines and about 10 rail cars left the tracks.

Two railroad employees onboard were taken to a Buffalo hospital.

Because the derailment was on an embankment, as well as having a large amount of diesel fuel on board, railroad company Norfolk Southern advised first responders to allow the engine to burn.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation by the railroad company and the Federal Railroad Administration.
