ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Rochester City School District spokesperson Carlos Garcia announced that School 12's interim principal Bridgitte Griffin has been relieved of her duties.

She will be replaced by former principal Vicki Gouveia, who was previously at the school for 17 years.

City School Board president Van White revealed earlier in the week that three employees marked Rowe as being present on the day he didn’t show up to school. According to White, some individuals later tried to alter attendance records as the investigation unfolded.

Additionally, Rochester City School Superintendent Barbara Deane-Williams announced that 5 school staff members were deployed to greet students on March 8th. None noticed him exit the school bus and walk in the opposite direction of the school.

The Rochester Police Department says criminal charges remain a possibility as it continues to look into the circumstances leading up to Trevyan Rowe's death.
