Wendy Mills is a longtime morning show reporter at Spectrum News 1 in Rochester. Known for her conversational, cheerful and energetic broadcast storytelling about inspiring people, places and new businesses, Wendy has been a part of the Spectrum News team since 2001.

Wendy's father was a grocery store owner, so she has a special place in her heart for small businesses. Wendy got her love of sports from her mother who was an athlete and a longtime sports official and referee for Section V. Wendy played volleyball at West Virginia University and is still in the record books as a middle hitter/blocker.

Wendy, a Fairport graduate, grew up in Gates-Chili and later moved to Fairport. She kicked off her reporting career in college as a Spectrum News Sports intern. Wendy then worked in Atlanta at WMLB 1170 AM, anchoring and reporting at Gwinnett News and Entertainment Television and sports reporting for GPB on the statewide show "Prep Sports +.”

Wendy does it all. She's all about local stories and sharing what's happening in the community. She's proud of her conversational style and truly cares about the people she is interviewing.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys family time with her boys, three doggies and longtime partner, Mick. They love watching sports, spending the summer in the pool, out on the water, on walks with the dogs and at the family fruit farm and winery.
