Casey Mittelstadt is the Sabres' prized prospect playing in the World Junior Championships, and he will suit up in the Red, White, and Blue for Team USA. The 6-foot-1 inch center was selected 8th overall by Buffalo in the 2017 draft and we can see why he was a top 10 pick as he tears it up playing as a college freshman for one of the Big Ten's best in Minnesota.

In 17 games for the Golden Gophers the smooth forward has netted five goals and 10 assist, but more impressive has been his ability to display his speed and hockey sense playing against players two and three years older than him.

While showing flashes of dominance on the ice in the NCAA is nice, former pro Andrew Peters believes Mittelstadt has a chance to explode on the world's stage - hear his thoughts in this video.
