The future at goalie for the Sabres is anything but solidified, but that could all change depending on the growth of prospect Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. The Finnish netminder was selected by the Sabres with the 54th pick of the 2017 draft and was rated the top European goalie in the class by NHL Central Scouting.

The 2nd rounder is your prototypical big goalie that the NHL is going toward as he stands 6-foot-4. Luukkonen has been playing high-level hockey in Finland, where he has racked up a 2.88 goals against and a .912 save percentage.

It's a chance to bring that experience to Buffalo for the World Juniors is a great opportunity for Luukkonen to leave his mark on the future in net for the Sabres, according to Andrew Peters. Don't miss what he has to say in the video.
