WILLIAMSON COUNTY – A 43-feet deep hole has opened up in Williamson County due to a cave collapsing Thursday morning.

The hole was found at the 8400 block of Cambria Drive in the Woods of Brushy Creek subdivision where there is an underground cave.

Water was temporarily out at 10 homes in the subdivision. Water was restored Thursday afternoon, but residents are advised to boil their water.

Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted that the hole will take approximately six weeks to repair.

Traffic is being diverted around the hole and drivers are asked to use caution in the area. The sidewalk is off limits for pedestrians.

Residents in the area have been notified.

A crew is on the scene working to assess the situation.
