The Hawaii Department of Transportation notifies all who use Farrington Highway of the full closure of the eastbound lanes between Old Fort Weaver Road and the Fort Weaver Road on-ramp starting Monday, July 7.
The closure will be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week from July 7 through March 27, 2026.
The eastbound lanes will be closed for the construction of a new bridge and roadway as part of the Farrington Highway Widening project. Motorists will be detoured to Old Fort Weaver Road and can reenter Farrington Highway at the opposite end of Old Fort Weaver Road.
Motorists traveling westbound on Farrington Highway will not be affected.
HDOT urges motorists to drive with caution and follow traffic control signs. Special duty police officers will assist with safety procedures.
All work is weather permitting. Project details are available on the HDOT website.
